I'm a web developer primarily using PHP, Laravel and VueJS to design and build websites.
Hi! I'm Peyman! I design and develop websites and web applications. I started my journey of developing software way, way, way... way back when I was 14 years old. I've always been a 'techhead' and generally love to tinker with new technologies and understand how they work.
Lately, I've been working with community centres to improve functionality of their online services. In particular, with SAAAC, I've developed a fundraising platform that has raised over $600,000 over a number of years. More on that below.
While I love to tinker with new libraries and frameworks, I believe a good, solid toolset you can return to for most projects is important. Below are some of the tools I use.
Walkathon is a crowd fundraising platform designed for South Asian Autism Awareness Centre (SAAAC) annual summer charity event. It allows users to create challenges or activities to promote online donations as a community effort. Over the 4+ years of service, it has evolved to include more functionality and easier usability. This web app has facilitated thousands of transactions and has enabled SAAAC to raise over $600,000 from donors all around the world.
It utilizes PHP and Laravel as a foundation and framework, while taking advantage of VueJS for the front end interactions, and Stripe for payment processing. It also consumes various APIs for donor management, messaging, etc.
Access Counts is a conference site which details speakers, events, and timelines. The design is based on the event's, and South Asian Autism Awareness Centre's, brand identity with a clean and minimal layout for all screen sizes.
It utilizes HTML and CSS for the structure and design while incorporating some VueJS for some user interaction.
SAAAC Summit details three different events. It is meant to resemble posters outside of a theatre while maintaining South Asian Autism Awareness Centre's clean and minimal branding. Each section has its own dedicated page describing the event.
It utilizes HTML and CSS for the structure and design while incorporating some VueJS for some user interaction.
